Published compatibility tables can help screen questions. They cannot reproduce every weld, surface, crevice, velocity, cleaning cycle or changing formulation in the actual process.

A material name is not a service-condition guarantee.

Is stainless steel automatically compatible with the product?

No. Compatibility depends on the specific grade and construction as well as chemistry, concentration, contaminants, temperature, aeration, flow, abrasion, weld and finish condition, cleaning and exposure time.

Can a compatibility table approve the final material?

A table can support initial screening, but it cannot reproduce every service condition. Use it to form questions, then obtain material and equipment supplier review for the actual exposure.

Which product-contact components need review?

Review the entire wetted train, including vessel or chamber, agitator, media, separator, welds, finish, linings, coatings, seals, hoses, piping, valves, pump and cleaning circuit.

How is a product-contact material finally confirmed?

Use supplier review against the complete service record and, where uncertainty remains, representative coupon, immersion or sample-process testing before approval.
