A controlled baseline and matched evidence come before the top-up decision.

Does grinding-media top-up quantity equal media wear rate?

No. Added quantity can also reflect transfer loss, retained media, spills, sampling, incomplete recovery, prior undocumented events or a changed charge target. Reconcile the event-by-event mass balance and physical-condition evidence before assigning a cause.

Can smaller recovered beads alone prove unacceptable wear?

No universal conclusion follows from one size observation. Preserve the incoming baseline, sample identity and condition, size-distribution and shape method, campaign boundary, separator and mill revision, raw results, uncertainty and project-specific acceptance owner.

Does a low-wear media claim prove that the product is contamination-free?

No. A named media supplier statement remains tied to its product and evidence. The actual product needs a defined contamination question, representative identified samples, suitable analytical method, reporting capability, acceptance source and responsible disposition.

Should media wear, separator condition and product-contact corrosion be one test?

Keep them connected but distinct. Media wear concerns the grinding bodies; separator approval concerns retention and the configured opening; product-contact compatibility concerns the complete wetted train. Each needs its own evidence and owner before the combined risk is reviewed.

Can an OEM inspection or replacement rule be copied to another bead mill?

Not without the responsible suppliers' review. Mill geometry, grinding system, separator, media, product, campaign history, methods and acceptance basis can differ. Preserve the source rule as a source-specific record and approve the actual project independently.
